Long Beach, CA – This month’s 2nd Saturday Art Walk (http://www.artwalklb.com/) will feature Long Beach watercolor artist, Debbie Lewis. The art walk takes place on Linden Ave. in downtown Long Beach between 1st and Broadway on Saturday March 13th and runs from 4 PM till 10 PM.
Downtown Long Beach’s monthly art walk is a lively affair with music, art, food and fun. Ms. Lewis’ exhibit will include a collection of her colorful, magical watercolors – a variety of landscapes, florals and animals, as well as greeting cards. All of her watercolors for sale are originals; high quality giclee prints may be ordered as well.
“Since I started painting,” Ms. Lewis said, “I have mainly been drawn to nature themes and now that I live in Long Beach, I have added Long Beach landscapes to my portfolio.” Several new Long Beach landscapes will be available at this Saturday’s show.
Ms. Lewis is a self-taught artist whose talent developed in the mid-90s. Since moving to Long Beach in 2008, she has participated in numerous group and solo shows and regularly displays her work at the 2nd Saturday Art Walk.
“When I first visited this Art Walk in the summer of 2008, there were few fine artists displaying their work. Now there are many excellent artists from the local community who show and provide a great resource for the local community,” she noted.

This summer Ms. Lewis will have a solo show during the month of June at the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach. The artist’s reception will be on June 5 from 1-3 PM. After the reception, visitors may enjoy the Nature Center Museum and shop, as well as the walking trails which provide a unique view of nature in the middle of the city.
