El Dorado Nature Center Watercolor Exhibit to Include Raffle

Long Beach, CA – A raffle and special discounted pricing will highlight this Saturday's artist reception, which kicks off a month-long watercolor exhibit of the original works of Long Beach resident, Debbie Lewis, at the El Dorado Nature Center June 5, 2010.

Ms. Lewis will raffle off one of her watercolor prints and will offer a discount on all purchases made during the reception, which will be held Saturday, June 5 from 1-3 PM . The exhibit will include Ms. Lewis’ nature-themed art, including florals, animals and landscapes.

"I now have high quality prints of 7 of my most popular paintings, including several Long Beach landscapes," Ms. Lewis said. "The winner of the raffle will be able to pick whichever print he wants."

Five new paintings, never before displayed, were installed on June 3 at the El Dorado Nature Center Gallery — all five inspired by the Nature Center location itself — as part of the show which will be available for viewing throughout June.

Ms. Lewis is a self-taught artist whose talent developed in the mid-90s. Since moving to Long Beach in 2008, she has participated in numerous group and solo shows and regularly displays her work at the downtown Long Beach 2nd Saturday Art Walk.
