Long Beach, CA – Besides great food, downtown Long Beach’s 4th Street Deli now features the watercolor paintings of Long Beach resident, Debbie Lewis. Work available at this location includes high-quality prints of Long Beach-themed watercolors, as well as packaged greeting cards. Ms. Lewis’ colorful nature-themed art, including florals, animals and landscapes, add a new aesthetic touch to this favorite downtown venue.
A special artist’s reception combined with a wine tasting event will be scheduled some time during June.
“I am excited to add the 4th St. Deli (http://www.4thstdeli.com/home.html) to a growing list of venues in Long Beach where people can find my art,” Ms. Lewis said. Other locations include: Metropolitan Furniture (http://www.losangelesfurniture.com), Hellada’s Gallery (http://www.hellada.us), the UPS Store (http://www.theupsstorelocal.com/2896), and Cat Man Blu (http://www.catmanblu.com).
The 4th St. Deli has many fans on Yelp (http://www.yelp.com/biz/4th-street-deli-long-beach) who recommend this delicatessen for a fast and tasty meal. One reviewer stated: “… Just one word: AMAZING. Best sandwich shop I've ever been to! Not only is the food great, but the customer service is off the hook!! The owner is very friendly and knows how to treat a customer. Everyone that I've taken here has had the same reaction as me. …Don't wait. Go now!”
Ms. Lewis is a self-taught artist whose talent developed in the mid-90s. Since moving to Long Beach in 2008, she has participated in numerous group and solo shows and regularly displays her work at the downtown Long Beach 2nd Saturday Art Walk. Her watercolors for sale will also be featured at El Dorado Nature Center throughout the month of June. Artist’s reception for this event is on June 5. (http://www.longbeach.gov/naturecenter/)
“Since I started painting,” she said, “I have mainly been drawn to nature themes. Now that I live in Long Beach, I have enough inspiration to last a lifetime.”
